Monument Valley, AZ  (photo)

The Monument Valley Navaho Tribal Park is located at the border of Utah and Arizona.  Sunsets here are gorgeous.  The RV park is dry camping with a dump site and water fill available.  It's worth it.  You may tour the valley with your tow vehicle, which I would recommend.  The tour guide rides are called "shake and bake" for a reason.  They are bumpy and hot.  We used our own tow jeep and took our time in the valley.  A lot of western movies were made here.  Stagecoach is one.  It's peaceful and picturesque. We sat in front of our 40' rig and took numerous pictures of the sunset, unlike any others we have seen. You feel surrounded by the sky. Sunset photo.          back
